Clyde in the Classroom is delivered by the Clyde River Foundation, a registered charity which researches the ecology of the Clyde and its tributaries and promotes environmental education throughout the catchment. We receive no core funding for our activities and we gratefully acknowledge the financial support of those private and public bodies which have funded our project work across the catchment. Clyde in the Classroom is crowd-funded by participating schools and a range of supporters ranging from charitable trusts and foundations to local businesses and angling clubs.
Clyde in the Classroom 2017 Project Supporters
We are delighted that The Crown Estate Scotland Portfolio is the main project supporter of Clyde in the Classroom 2017. We are also grateful of support from Glasgow Science Centre, the John Mather Charitable Trust, W.A. Cargill Fund, the Sir James Miller Edinburgh Trust, The Cruden Foundation, and the Cobb Charitable Trust and to the following local angling clubs: River Kelvin Angling Association (RKAA), United Clyde Angling Protective Association Ltd (UCAPA Ltd) and Bridge of Weir River Angling Club (BOWRAC).
Eastfield Primary School received a donation from Cabit Corporation toward their project contribution and Bridge of Weir Primary School received a donation from Bridge of Weir River Angling Club.
